Accurate Water Testing

Understanding how to properly test your pool/spa water for accurate results is the first step to maintaining a safe and healthy pool. Registration includes a test kit that is used during the class and belongs to the student upon conclusion. The supplied test kit meets the State of Connecticut Health Code requirements for commercial pools. Each student in the class will participate in testing for chlorine (free and total), pH (including adjustment), total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid. Topics for discussion include common mistakes and false readings, recording test results, test kit care, calculating pool volume, basic water chemistry and much more!
