The CPO® Blended Course utilizes an online training program that covers most of the CPO® Course book. Students have 6 months to complete the online portion once started, and 6 months from completion to attend the in-classroom portion. The second day of any of our listed CPO® Courses satisfies the in-classroom requirement.
Limiting our classes to under 20 students allows us to make sure each student has the opportunity to be heard. Individual attention is an important part of the learning experience. Blue Wave is following all social distancing guidelines in our classes.

The Course
The Certified Pool/Spa Operator® Certification Program has delivered more training than any other program in the pool and spa industry since 1972, resulting in more than 282,000 successful CPO® certifications in 64 countries. (according to nspf.org) The CPO® Training Course teaches an abundance of information to train staff members or individuals required to work with pools. It covers topics such as pool and spa chemistry and calculations, state and federal regulations, energy conservation, water sanitizing and testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and much more. Upon successful completion, participants will have a better understanding of an operator’s role in pool management and care. The course takes two consecutive days to complete with an open book, open note test at the end.

Brian Diglio
Brian Diglio has been servicing pools in Connecticut for over 35 years and is the President of Blue Wave Pool Service and Supplies located in Hamden, CT. Blue Wave has received numerous service company awards of excellence by the Northeast Spa and Pool Association under his direction. Brian has twice served as the President of the Connecticut chapter of the APSP® (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals®), and for several years served as Education Chairman. He has instructed for the APSP® Tech One and Tech Two classes. He also has helped the state as a subject matter expert for their license testing and has spoken at health department classes. Brian is a Pool and Hot Tub Alliance® CPO® Certification holder, inspector, and instructor.
